Women’s Month 2021 Wrap-Up
This March was Women’s History Month, and being a small woman-owned business ourself, we chose to uplift other women, share trivia about rad women from history, and showcase other woman-owned businesses / makers — like the ones we retail on our webshop. Although we did this through our Instagram account @thelunary_, we wanted to gather all that lady-loving in one central place (i.e., this blog post).
Here’s how we spent our Women’s History Month:
Founder Introduction — we’re female founded and wanted to share a bit more about our story, since we hadn’t really done that before. We created a new Our Story
page on our website and shared some more personal details on our instagram
Founder interview with @HeySisWorld for their YouTube series On My Coffee Break — take a deeper dive into our brand and get to know @HeySisWorld
while you’re at it! Founded by actual sisters Kristen and Priscilla, these two awesome ladies are on a mission to help BIPOC entrepreneurs.
not the most flattering photo of me but idgaf
X-Ray Spex & Punk Rock History — Poly Styrene, daring and brave punk rock woman of color, takes overwhelmingly male/white music genre industry head on and makes the best music ever. Listen to Oh Bondage Up Yours!,
it’s a classic.
We did a giveaway with Skin by Jem, winner already chosen (sorry if you missed it). One lucky winner got an Astronomy Club Peace Tee and a Skin by Jem Wellness Journal as part of Skin by Jem’s month of giveaways in partnership with independent woman-owned brands.
We really admire the women owned brands that we retail on our marketplace, these female founders are the bees knees and we love to partner with them. Shop Skin by Jem

to get your fix of ethical, sustainable, and female founded brands creating goods for your skin, wellbeing, and for your home.
